The website tvshowsondvd.com recently broke the news that the third season of Everwood is making it’s way to DVD this summer. To the left you can see a small preview of the cover art. Here’s what they had to say:

“Warner Home Video has just announced that Everwood – The Complete 3rd Season is heading to DVD in time for mid-year. This 6-disc release will arrive on June 15th, at a cost of $39.98 SRP. The third (and next-to-last) season of the show aired 22 episodes, with guest stars like Elizabeth Mitchell, Ernie Hudson, Annie O’Donnell, Erica Gimpel and Gedde Watanabe. Video is in widescreen, and audio in English Stereo, with subtitles in French and Spanish. While the studio hasn’t said yet about music changes, we do expect there to be differences on the DVD compared to the televised episodes (as was the case with the second season set)… Warner’s info also mentions that this set includes “never-before-seen gag reel/unaired scenes“.”

And here’s the official studio description:

This season, love is in the clear mountain air of Everwood. Back from a troubled summer at Juilliard, Ephram commits himself to his music and to Amy. Andy is drawn to a patient’s wife – and into an ethical dilemma. Dr. Jake Hartman moves to town and starts eating a lot of pancakes, as long as Nina’s serving ‘em up. And mousey Hannah Rogers flips over Bright. But don’t expect love to conquer all, especially when the secret Andy kept from Ephram last season comes spilling out. Suddenly, trust is destroyed, lives are turned upside down and the bonds of love – romantic and father-son – are stretched to the breaking point. Andy wanted Everwood to be his family’s home. Now it may be just another place they used to live.

You can currently pre-order the DVD for $27.99 at Amazon.com.

The BBC recently conducted an interview with alternative-rock musician Andrew Bird, who is scoring Emily’s independent film Norman. The film is still in post-production, presumably to be released some time during 2010, though you never really know with independent films. After all, Carriers took more than three years to finally get released. In the interview, Bird talked a small bit about the film and seemed pretty impressed with the quality of the story. Here’s an excerpt of the article:

Amidst touring, Chicago-based multi-instrumentalist, lyricist and whistler Andrew Bird has let us in on three projects he’s been working on; a film soundtrack, a special sonic art installation and a song to celebrate Sesame Street’s 40th anniversary.

Following in the footsteps of Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs who has been at the helm of the Where The Wild Things Are soundtrack, Bird revealed he has taken on the score for a film, called Norman.

“It could do quite well,” he told 6 Music News. “It’s got a fairly well known cast and it’s really well written and everything. It is more of a drama, it tackles high school drama without being lame.”

However, it could be his first and last soundtrack as he added laughingly: “This is the first legitimate full length film that I did.

“I had the monitor of the film in the studio and I’m playing. It’s a lot of work. I don’t know if I ever want to do it again.”

I’m glad he thinks it isn’t lame . If you want to get an idea of what Andrew Bird’s music is like, you can preview the tracks on his latest album on itunes.

It’s been a big season for Rebecca Harper as she walks the aisle on her big day. But the drama never fails on Brothers and Sisters, and actress Emily VanCamp is well aware of it. On her interview on The View, she discussed the problems her character was having with the wedding, as well as the trouble she and fiance Justin (Dave Annable) are experiencing.

“I know, it’s crazy!” the 23-year-old actress exclaimed as she sat down. Many fans have long been anticipating the Justin-Rebecca marriage, a story that took a long time to develop. From thinking they were siblings to this? It was definitely unexpected.

“I think everyone was really shocked,” VanCamp said about the shift in plot. “It’s certainly an interesting storyline, but I think that people get over that kind of thing very quickly. There was a lot of chemistry between the two of us and so they had to do something, or else it was gonna get a bit creepy.”

Entering the scene at the middle of a season made Emily VanCamp anxious about starting anew on Brothers and Sisters. “It’s a very intimidating group of people to join,” she said. “But they were so welcoming and wonderful.”

If there was one highlight of this season aside from the upcoming wedding, it was the tango with Gilles Marini. Since Emily VanCamp has been trained as a dancer as well, she had a great time filming the scenes.

“I had so much fun!” she declared. “He is the nicest guy I’ve ever met, just the sweetest, and we just had a ball.”

VanCamp was also interviewed for the ABC Morning News and revealed what to expect for Brothers and Sisters. “There’s always drama with the Walkers,” VanCamp admitted.

Aside from the wedding, there’s the even bigger news of her character expecting a child. “Well, as of now Rebecca’s pregnant and I think that they’re kind of coming to terms with having a baby,” the actress revealed. “But we’ll see what happens. [...] It’s really hard to figure it all out.”
