First of all, I hope everyone had a great holiday. Second, I’ve got some awesome news today. Emily will be appearing on The Rachael Ray Show on Friday, January 8th! The interview was already filmed back in early December, hence the picture above, but this will be the first time it airs. Here’s a brief description of her upcoming appearance:
“‘Brothers and Sisters’ star Emily VanCamp is stopping by the kitchen table, and wait until you see the surprise Rachael has for her!”
Can’t wait to find out what the big surprise is. Check your local listings for the channel and time the show airs in your area. As always, we’ll have a video up here at the site shortly after it airs for anyone who won’t be able to watch it on TV.
Also, check out a sneak peek clip from Carriers below. The DVD will go on sale this Tuesday.
I rented Carriers on DVD this past week and made some screen captures for the gallery. It was actually a pretty good movie. Definitely worth a rental. Or you can buy it starting December 29th.
As you may remember, we previously reported that the ‘Carriers’ DVD will be available to rent on December 8th. But only to rent. Not to purchase. Well, Amazon.com and several other online retailers are now listing that the DVD will be available to purchase on December 29th! Still no word yet on what kind of special features will be included. And if you like to watch movies on your computer, you can currently pre-order a digital copy of the film for $14.99 at Amazon.com.
News finally came today of a DVD release date for Carriers… sort of. Paramount has announced that the movie will be released for DVD rental on December 8th. Just rental. As for the full DVD release, all they had to say is that it’s “expected 4 to 6 weeks after the rental release.” Confused? Me too. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a DVD being released to rent, but not to buy until a month later. I’m not sure what exactly they plan to accomplish with this odd new release strategy. It just seems pointless and kind of stupid to me. But I guess we should just be happy it’s finally getting released and will eventually be available to purchase most likely in January or February 2010.
In other ‘Carriers’ news, three new international posters for the film have been added to the gallery.
And lastly, we have a behind-the-scenes video today featuring Emily on the set of ‘Brothers & Sisters’ shooting scenes for the episode ‘Last Tango in Pasadena.’ Check it out below.
I also have another enthusiastic review of ‘Carriers,’ this time from a source in Phoenix, which is one of the fortunate places where the movie is actually playing in theaters in the US.
Creepy ‘Carriers’ crafts cognitive chronicle
By Joseph J. Airdo
“Carriers” may not feature a famous cinematic serial killer or intricately detailed accidents that cause explicitly gory deaths, but the unpleasant movie about a viral pandemic easily earns the title of the scariest movie currently playing in theaters.
