Check out one of the opening scenes from Emily’s post-apocalyptic plague flick Carriers, available to rent in the U.S. on Tuesday, December 8th and to buy on December 29th. You can currently pre-order the DVD on Amazon. Paramount has yet to announce anything about a possible future Blu-Ray release.
Carriers is finally making it’s way to DVD. Since the film got such a limited release in theaters, I’m sure, like myself, many of you still haven’t had a chance to see it yet. So this is great news. Unfortunately there’s a little bit of a catch. While the film will technically be available on DVD on December 8th, it will only be available to rent. Paramount has yet to announce an official release date for purchase. So you better add it to your que on Netflix or be prepared to take a trip to your local video rental store. No word yet on any special features either.
For those living across the pond, the movie is set to premiere in theaters in the UK on December 11th. And for those of you in Germany, the DVD will go on sale February 26th, as well as a special edition three disc box set that includes some interesting goodies like your very own epidemic survival kit.
If you’re planning on going to see Carriers in theaters on September 4th, that may turn out to be a lot harder than you think. The film is only getting a limited release, which means it may not be playing in your local theater. So, why is that exactly?
